IATA accreditation provides freight agents with industry recognition of their financial and professional competence and airlines with a worldwide distribution network of approved agents who operate under government approved rules and regulations.
In practical terms being an IATA accredited freight forwarder means that GLM interacts directly with all international airlines when shipping air freight and does not need to go through a third party agent saving both time and expense. In addition they have credit accounts with all airlines to expedite operations and administration.
British International Freight Association (BIFA - www.bifa.org)
BIFA is the governing body of UK freight forwarders and membership requires that all members work to a stringent code of practise in areas such as accounting, insurance and staff training as well as operating to BIFA's equally strict standard trading conditions.

GLM is a BS EN ISO 9001:2008 approved company
Department for Transport (DFT - www.dft.gov.uk)
GLM are a DFT regulated agent and are authorised to handle "known cargo" and all GLM staff are DFT level 4 security trained, senior members of the team are Level 2 trained. This means that GLM road and air freight does not need to be x-rayed, checked or wait for the 12 hours that non regulated freight is required to do which significantly reduces the lead time in air freight and has often made the difference between a missed deadline and on time delivery. Level 2 trained staff are issued with government security updates regarding specific security threats.
HM Customs & Excise
As a registered freight forwarder GLM can manage their own customs entries which again reduces operations and administration time.
Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce
GLM's membership allows for efficient processing of carnets necessary when exporting show cars under the temporary process for exhibition materials without the need to go through an agent.
HSSE
GLM's health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments, are managed and audited by Ellis Whittam (www.elliswhittam.com) a corporate regulatory consultancy specialising in Health and Safety, Employment law and staff training.
Dangerous Goods/HazMat
Senior management of GLM are trained and certified in DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations Handling) by the DFT.
International Operators License
This license enables GLM to run their own HGV fleet through Europe and is required under European law.
