Alitech Precision Parts becomes first occupier of Silverstone Park’s new industrial units

Alitech Precision Parts has become the first company to locate to Silverstone Park’s newest industrial development, marking a major scaleup for the fastgrowing sub-contract machining firm.

The business, operated by Ben Phillips and Darren Cudd, is currently finalising the fit-out of the new 15,000 sq ft unit – one of nine hybrid-style, high-tech, R&D industrial units that form part of the ‘prime location’ Evolve East development.

This six-acre site is fully serviced and comprises hybrid-style high specification industrial units, ranging from approximately 8,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft – all with a welcoming reception area, smart offices, double-height workshop space and loading doors.

Alitech’s move follows rapid growth driven by demand from the highperformance motorsport, niche automotive and aerospace sectors.

The company specialises in complex machining across aluminium, super stainless alloys, titanium alloys and engineering plastics. Its customer base includes four Formula 1 teams, plus manufacturers in WEC/endurance racing, Dakar crosscountry, supercars, hypercars and the retromod sports market.

Components produced range from compositestructure parts and aero elements through to uprights and hubs, with the company known for its ability to turn work around within 24 hours.

Ben said the business had outgrown its previous site both operationally and in terms of brand presence.

“We were stagnating where we were,” he explained. “Space was limiting us, and we weren’t operating like a business of our size should.

“Security, branding, location, staff facilities – we needed all of that to step up. Now we’re in a prime Motorsport Valley location with many other specialist engineering companies who we align with as neighbours.

Alitech has invested heavily in 5axis HERMLE machining centres, equipped with automation to support lightsout manufacturing. Automation lets us maximise every square foot, added Ben.

“The machines keep running, the quality stays high and our team can focus on problemsolving and craftsmanship.

The company currently employs ten people, the majority having been trained inhouse.

Ben continued: “Ninety per cent of our factory team are products of Alitech training.”

“There’s fierce competition for engineering talent in this area, so we grow our own people and our own culture.”

The firm is now focused on settling into the new facility and improving efficiency as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
