Convergent Science is hosting the 2026 CONVERGE CFD Forum: Future Fuels and Emobility on September 8 at the Universitat Politècnica de València – Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación (CPI). Held in partnership with CMT – Clean Mobility & Thermofluids, Universitat Politècnica de València, this one-day event will focus on innovative modeling solutions for technologies in the propulsion and energy sectors.
The forum will feature speakers from organizations including Daimler Truck AG, Politecnico di Torino, IFP Energies nouvelles, and KAUST. These presentations will discuss important fuel and emobility topics, such as battery cell thermal runaway, H2 ICEs, and fuel-flexible engines. In addition, Convergent Science engineers will demonstrate the simulation tools that CONVERGE CFD software offers to bridge renewable energy, future fuels, and emobility.
“Alternative fuels and emobility could be the key to a greener world,” says Rainer Rothbauer, General Manager of Convergent Science GmbH. “Hosting this event gives us the opportunity to showcase brilliant CFD engineers whose work explores these concepts. We are excited to hear about their research and facilitate lively discussion among participants.”
The CONVERGE CFD Forum will be followed by the THIESEL Conference on Thermo- and Fluid Dynamics of Clean Propulsion Powerplants on September 8-11 at the same venue. This conference focuses on the thermo- and fluid dynamic processes occurring in propulsion powerplants, including thermal and noise challenges in electric components and energy optimization in global electrified propulsion systems, among other topics.
