‘Welcome In’ the 2027 Season at CTS26 in the Silverstone Wing – 14th and 15th October
MIA CEO, Chris Aylett, has shared the following:
The 2027 season promises to bring new and exciting opportunities across all of Europe and the USA’s leading series. New rules across these championships are creating fresh business opportunities for the UK’s motorsport community. The MIA’s CTS – Motorsport Engineering and Technology Show celebrates Competitive Engineering at its very best, and the place to secure new motorsport business deals is the famous Silverstone Wing, on 14th and 15th October, where the UK’s Motorsport Valley® community will gather once again.
Now in its sixth year, the focus of CTS remains on attracting the very best quality of motorsport business visitor. Many readers will recall the Autosport Show at the NEC, and meeting trade visitors on the MIA’s popular International Business Lounge. That same growing business community, now with a truly global reach and customer base, comes together each year at CTS. New technology and new products matter, but collaboration and communication between exceptional people, delivering successful motorsport to other people, remains the beating heart of the MIA’s show.
The Silverstone Wing is the ideal meeting place for Competitive Engineering companies looking to supply a booming motorsport market. From Formula 1; Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, Williams, Cadillac and the FIA have already registered to attend CTS in 2026. They are joined by leaders from across the wider industry, including Toyota, Multimatic, Prodrive, Bosch and Lola Cars – and the list continues to grow.
See feature cars on display, including the Lola’s pioneering T70S, McMurtry’s record breaking Spéirling, Jim Morris’ Pikes Peak FWD Record holder VW Golf, and the Toyota Corolla GR Sport. Plus hear from senior representatives from Prodrive, Toyota Racing, M-Sport, Xtrac and Spark Advanced Technologies at our speakers’ corner.

It is people who create exciting motorsport battles and develop the winners, so it is essential to meet the people behind those results – because they who you need to do business with.
A show built for a distinct industry
Competitive Engineering is a distinct discipline, defined both by the speed of response it demands and by the creativity required to solve engineering challenges under pressure. Companies looking to supply the motorsport community need to be agile, practical and capable of delivering winning results, fast.
A strong industry show is an essential tool for bringing this business community together, to exchange ideas and identify shared challenges that can be solved collectively. As a not-for-profit organisation, the MIA runs CTS for the benefit of the UK’s motorsport community and its members, bringing together experts from across Competitive Engineering.
People meeting people is what makes motorsport happen – whether that’s IMSA or IndyCar in the USA, the BTCC in the UK, or the World Rally Championship across the globe. Formula One remains the jewel in the crown of this fast-growing sector, but strong growth is also visible in Formula E, where the new Generation 4 regulations bring 600 kW of electric power – over 815 horsepower – to the grid.
CTS is at the right time and in the right place to meet the right people and build your motorsport business, and entry is free. Whether your business is already established in the industry or looking to engage with its growing supply chain, a visit to MIA’s CTS – Motorsport Engineering and Technology Show at the famous Silverstone Wing this October is a must.

A sector defined by its pace and precision
Over the past 30 years our motorsport sector has grown into a multi-million-pound sector that has made its international home in the UK, alongside Formula One itself. It was Liberty Media’s takeover of F1 in the USA that unlocked the full value of this opportunity, using the latest technologies to build a global audience with outstanding success. That international race series now depends heavily on an extensive supply chain of companies – many of them SMEs and MIA members – drawn from across the UK’s Motorsport Valley®, which in turn draws other international race series to look to the UK for their supplies.
Watching races on television, it is easy to forget that they are held one week after another, meaning problems discovered at one race must often be resolved in another country entirely, in time to be back on the grid within seven days. It is rare, in engineering, to face a challenge that demands this pace, consistently, with only days between identifying a solution and delivering it. That pressure breeds a particular calibre of engineer, one who thrives on competition in everything they do.
