15 Sep BARC partners with FanDrive to enhance motorsport fan experience
The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) is pleased to announce a new partnership with FanDrive, the motorsport fan engagement platform designed to bring fans, drivers and championships closer together over a race weekend.
BARC has been working closely with FanDrive as the platform continues to develop, with the aim of creating a richer, more connected experience for fans, competitors and championships, allowing them to follow more of the action, either remotely or at the venue.
As part of the partnership, BARC championships are being progressively onboarded to the platform. All five Caterham Motorsport UK championships and the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy are already live, with the aim of having all BARC championships available on FanDrive for the 2027 season.
FanDrive brings together more of the information, data and content generated across a race weekend into one accessible digital experience. The platform has the potential to make motorsport more immediate, interactive and connected.
The platform already gives fans access to a more interactive race weekend experience, including driver profiles, event information, live timing, championship content and digital engagement. It also provides championships, drivers and organisers with a new way to communicate, build audiences and bring added value to competitors and partners.
Fans will be able to see and use FanDrive at the next BARC race meeting, taking place at Speedfest East – Snetterton on 12/13 September.
Simon Lambert, Sporting Director at BARC, said: “We are delighted to be working with FanDrive and supporting the development of a platform that we believe represents a significant step forward for the motorsport industry.
“Motorsport has an incredibly passionate fanbase, but we also recognise the need to make race weekends more engaging, accessible and connected for both people attending events and those following from elsewhere.
“FanDrive gives fans a deeper connection to the championships, cars and drivers they follow, while also creating new opportunities for competitors, organisers and partners. We are excited to be working with the FanDrive team as we continue to enhance the BARC race weekend experience.”
Sean Murphy, Founder at FanDrive, said: “BARC plays a major role in British motorsport, so to be working closely with the club as we develop and roll out FanDrive is hugely exciting.
“Our aim is to help championships and organisers create a more connected race weekend, where fans can follow the drivers they care about, access live information and engage with the sport in a more modern and interactive way.
“With Caterham and the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy already on the platform, we are looking forward to supporting more BARC championships and helping bring fans even closer to the action.”
FanDrive is available at fandrive.app and through the FanDrive Motorsport app on the App Store and Google Play. Further BARC championships are set to be added as onboarding continues ahead of the 2027 season. More information is available at fandrive.net.
