- Formula 1 and DAZN have announced a multi-year extension to their partnership, which will see the broadcaster continue as the home of F1 in Spain, Andorra, and Portugal until the end of the 2030 season.
The renewed agreement ensures fans across all three countries will continue to enjoy comprehensive live and on-demand coverage of every Formula 1 practice and qualifying session, Sprint, and Grand Prix throughout the season, alongside the Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 ACADEMY and Porsche Supercup support series. DAZN will also continue to deliver analysis, features, and original programming, bringing fans closer to the action on and off track.
In Spain, coverage will be led by a world-class broadcast team, providing fans with unrivalled insight and analysis. They will be supported throughout the season by DAZN’s experienced team of presenters and commentators.
The extension comes as Formula 1 continues to grow across both Spain and Portugal, where the sport’s rich heritage has helped foster a combined fanbase of 17.9 million people. With Madrid set to hold the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix at the MADRING from 11 – 13 September, and Portimão scheduled to return to the calendar in 2027, the renewed partnership ensures fans can continue to follow every moment of action with DAZN in the years ahead.
Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Content Creation Officer at Formula 1, said:
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with DAZN and ensure fans across Spain, Andorra, and Portugal can continue to enjoy comprehensive Formula 1 coverage through 2030. DAZN has played an important role in the growth of Formula 1 across these markets, particularly among younger and more diverse audiences, combining excellent live coverage with compelling storytelling that brings fans closer to our sport. Over the coming years, we’re excited to build on what we have achieved together so far.”
Óscar Vilda, CEO of DAZN Iberia, said:
“Formula 1 is one of the cornerstones of our sports offering, and we are incredibly proud to continue bringing the Championship to fans in Spain, Andorra and Portugal until 2030. This renewal allows us to keep delivering first-class coverage, combining the excitement of live racing with expert analysis, innovation and an experience that brings fans closer to everything happening on and off the track. We want to continue evolving the way we tell the story of Formula 1 and build on the huge interest in the Championship across both countries.”
